Well, in this area most switch from airboats to snowmobiles...And with today being the exception, we haven't had any measurable snow...We got about 2-3 inches today and temps are below freezing so it will be around for a while...IF...I were to try it with an airboat I'd want a bit more snow than what we've got...But I wouldn't mind giving it a try {on land}at some point just to have some fun...
The Susquehanna river itself doesn't freeze smoothly because of the strong current...There's a bunch of icebergs floating downstream until they get jambed/frozen together making a jagged unforgiving mess out there... Not to mention the local authorities frown upon anyone venturing out on the river in those conditions that's just the way it was around here for as long as I remember...
