is it a light powder, or heavy and wet snow? that has to be hard for all the farmers that need to get their crops harvested.

I Do HOPE my Hull makes a GOOD Big Sled!!!
The snow I very heave wet slop great for the Fires.
It all fell up high on the fires.
Down here it was rain, I got over 3" at my house. Wonderful!
Most all the crops are cut and they where waiting for rain to start seeding for spring.

Is it the normal time for harvesting??? I know here they're going at it early it's usually later in the year but we've had a wet,cool end of the summer...

90% wheat here and it may be a week or two early with the hot dry weather we had.
