I got the old rigging cut out today and went and got the conduit to start building. I'll post photos when I have something to show.

Back at it this morning. I put about six hours into it yesterday and my legs are doing fine. I just need to build strength back up. Figured I'd post a photo of my metal cutter. I bought a cheap harbor freight porta band and made a table for it. It was supposed to be the prototype for making it of steel but I haven't found the time to stop using it.

first time i have seen a porta-band mounted like that. looks like it would make simple for cutting & staying on the line.

Looking good, if you need any help with anything let me know
Test fit for the engine stand. I'll be welding on the tabs here that attach the rigging to the hull stringers. When that is done I'll put the engine on and align it as well as the rigging location front to rear. When the rigging is set I'll check that the engine is aligned again then drill the holes for the engine mounts.

Looks good !It appears the bottom rails are even with the outside edge of those wide stringers...Can you simply weld tabs on the EMT so you can cross bolt through the stringer ??

Yes, I just cut a small tab out of angle, drill a hole for bolt through, then set the rigging on top and weld.
Just went out and put one in place.

The hard part is done. I got the stand set in place and got the engine leveled and aligned in the hull. Next is take it back off, finish welding the stand then it's cage time. This 032 is nice to work with, it's not as heavy as the 084 to lift on and off.
Edit..
Tony is keeping this light, I will be putting a bench like seat or platform to sit on.

Getting there. I got the motor stand and seat all done and in the boat as well as the front hoop for the cage. I spent the good part of the day finishing the stand and getting the motor mounted. This evening I figured out the cage hoop and made a jig to bend it.

Got the cage on today, I'll hopefully get the rudder on tomorrow. I'll get some photos tomorrow.

Well I didn't reach my goal. Yesterday I got all the measurents done and got the top frame and tabs on for the rudders. Today I got the frames for the rudder all made. I have the rudder laid out and just have to cut them. Tomorrow will be mounting the rudder and working on the steering. The switches and parts for the charging system should be here tomorrow.
After the steering is done I'll take it back apart and check that everything is welded then paint. After that it goes back together for the final time. Then wiring and throttle. If everything goes as planned it should be done by the weekend.

Looking good, that box will work fine for the switch, it looks like there's enough room to stand beside the motor to fish in the back
