I'm also trying out a wood prop I got that I might sell as well. It's a 60x28 ultralight prop. The one in the pic on the boat. I'll let everyone know how it does as soon as I can get some time to get to the glades. It spins up to around 2700 rpm and seems to push pretty good on the trailer so we will see.

Thanks, PM sent on boat/Prop-questions. Not sure if I want to go w/the shallow sides or not since we have some deep water to cross up here. Maybe someone could chime in w/this yellow boat setup.

That 60x28 prop is probably a little too much prop for a stock 084 but it may be a good prop for a secret project I'm working on. If no-one else can use it let me know and I'll take it if the price is right.

That would be around 75 80 hp to spin it at 3100 rpm where is should be run.

A standard 60x28 wood airboat prop with a wider hub is what is used on 65 continentals. However this is a narrower blade and I spin it to 2700 rpm as measured by a mechanical tach driven right off the engine through the stock governor. My engine hasn't been modified other then a solex carb and some modified muflers. The same setup that I run a 3 blade ultra prop full length 59x10.

Papee I bought that prop and a different prop that you may be interested in. It's a 64x32 narrow blade...the sides are I think around 12" at the back. With the seats the way they are it's a little tippy in the deep water. I've ran it in deep canals but I'd prefer the shallows. The ultra prop has everything to bolt it to a hub.

The cost on the ultra prop is 250 and the boat is 1500. That's everything except the motor, exhaust, gauges, and prop obviously. I'm giving a rollbar first dibs as he contacted me via PM and I offered it to him before I posted it here.

I looked on the Saturn site but didn't see a idle cut off solenoid.

Where did you get yours (if memory serves).

    Thanks,

Thank you for honoring our conversation. I received the PayPal info and I paid for the prop. Please check you PayPal.

    Thanks again,

Doozit, I read your post and you said that you mounted your starter on the front of the 084? Got a pic?
    Thanks,

The idle cutoff is from the solex carb. I'll get some pix in a little bit of the starter and alternator setup I have on my engine.

Awesome, thanks. I'm wanting to use the front pulley and the smallest ring gear I can with a starter etc.

Here is the starter setup and the alternator setup that I am using right now. I'm going to change things up and try to make thing cosmetically look better in a big way when I switch engine over to my new hull. I'm going to keep all that under my hat for now. Mainly because I have to make sure I can accomplish it first lol. Let's just say there is some more lathe work in my future.

Thanks. You guy's with lathes have me jealous.
Did you make that ring gear? If not, any idea where I can get one? I'm sure you had to modify it to fit on the back side of the pulley, correct?

Still waiting on my motor, supposed to be shipped last Thursday. I'll wait until this Thursday to call the seller.

    Re: Doozit's 3rd. 10'6 deckover

Yes I had to do a little machining to get that ring gear to fit. However u could simply mount it on the outside I would think. That ring gear is off of a 717 Rotax Sea-Doo engine. The starter is a Harley starter. I saw somewhere a while ago a guy using a starter and ring gear off of a skidoo engine but I dont remember which model engine they got it off of.
