I don't think there is much weight difference between the two and yes, more torque with the four cyls. My wife will be coming down soon to Toccoa but I won't be along. I could send it along but you'd have to pick it up in Toccoa. One person can easily lift it from one car to another with no problem.

I think there are a few. I know there is one driveway of it. The 032 is still green. If it's red it's the 084

yea I definitely want it. when do you think it will be. I'm very anxious to get going on it. I have some plans I designing but i need the motor to really get all my measurements precise.

I picked up a nos 2a042 for a deal yesterday and noticed it doesn't have a on off switch or starter switch like I have seen on the 032's. the switches are on the generator body in a control panel that plugs in to the motor wiring harness and has gauges. i'm not really a wiring master to say the least and was wondering if anyone could give some insight into wiring switches to it or if you know where I could acquire that panel.

I've never really looked at a 042 but the work the same way all the others work as well as small engines. The wire is just grounded out to kill the motor.

Your right papee from what ive seen the 2a042 has the same parts as the 084 just half of everything. Had this site bookmarked for quite some time. Its a good read about the 042.
