This is the first test day with the new Empi 34 pict-3 on the boat. I was really windy but the carb worked flawlessly. I didn't do any experimenting with adjusting the carb, I'll save that for a more calm day.

Incredibly smooth run; can't ask for much better. How did the temp hold up?

The oil temp never goes above 160. When I get the green boat done I'll do another video. That boat has the tach in front so I'll be able to catch the tach in the video. If I can remember I'll put my phone/GPS up there too so you can see the speed.

Looked and sounded like a great run......I like the cost and the relatively easy upgrade with using that carb...Definitely much better than the factory offering..
sweet run
I do love the throttle response over the stock carb for sure. Also I find that it cranks much easier as well. Very smooth ride papee great job.

Looked like a real good ride Papee, and fast too. What was your speed?
I don't remember the speed off hand but I think I hit 30 mph in the beginning in some skinny water.
Whats nice about that prop is that after the boat is on plane the tach reading is real close to the mph. 2500= 25mph for ex.

Hello Papee,
It lookedlikeyou were reallymovng!!
I took my rig out today in bays near home. I was in the boat alone. It was kinda windy too. Against the wind it was awful. With he wind, it was running, I'd guess about 30 mph.
It was running fast enough to develop a bow hop.
I have my 40 hp with 60" prop mounted on a borrowed 14' Alumacraft boat with a 50"bottom. I can see where a narrow bow would be an advantage to have less drag in the wind.
I'm shopping for a 12 to 13 foot aluminum boat with a 70 to 80 inch bottom, or something near that size.
David at Alumitech Airboats in Florida gave me a pretty good price on a new one, but it's a 1000 miles away.
If anyone knows of one in the Texas area, please let me know.
Thanks
Big John
