Looks good...are those special mufflers or are you planning on running straight pipes? If so, you'll probably need to add a restriction to introduce some back pressure

Hey Kirk! They are just some exhaust tips I pulled out while dumpster diving at the exhaust shop. I plan to build a baffle set I can slide in to the tip and tack weld them in. We have to have some sort of muffling device here in Oklahoma.

Well at least make a sound clip so we can hear the rumble !!!.. Then you can add the baffles...They look good I like the tips they're different than other builds...Different is good...

    Re: aewrigh's build

Corky I would but I need something to do. I started her up today and had oil leaking out of two fittings I installed even after using ptfe thread tape. It was loud and mean sounding. I took all of it back apart to try ptfe paste sealant. I have to give it 72 hours to cure. If it leaks next time I start it I am going to cry and throw some stuff. All of my other leaks I addressed though seem to be fixed.

If you have trouble with the ptfe paste try some permatex number 2 sealant if the threads are clean it will seal them up...Oil won't affect it... https://www.permatex.com/products/ga...-no-2-sealant/

Well hopefully these baffles will be enough to quiet it down some and put a little back pressure on the system.

Well judging by the count it looks to be some excitement throughout the trip !! Time for a fish fry and some beer...

Nice work on the chambered muffler...

    Re: aewrigh's build

Ok so I fired it up......good news is it is much qmore quiet! The horrible news?! Still an oil leak.....but wait there is more....why an oil leak still? Because there is a CRACK I didn't notice the other day where the pressure sender screws in. So now my question is this: how hard and how extensive is it to change out the whole front cover? Step by step instructions would be great!!!!!

The whole front cover that is behind the stator/rope pulley and the oil filter adapter bolts too. Like a front timing cover?
