i made this jig this morning and thought someone may be interested in the idea..
i put a 5/8" carbide router bit in my router table. drilled a hole on the drill press through a piece of hard wood ( 5/8"). securly fastened the block to the table. slowly feed the pipe until its fully notched..
it worked better then i thought it would. i cut about six samples in about a minute. the 1/2" is so thin the carbide should last for at least one boat.
next i plan to add blocks for the different angle to the table top so i can do all my fish mouth cutting without moving anything..
