    It's just my opinion, but I think that a shaft extension would be a big mistake.

    I promise you that the closer the prop is to the supporting bearings, the better off you will be.

    Maybe I misunderstood your question. 6" between head and prop should be plenty. (At least as far as the head and the prop care)

    I don't know the specifics, but I'd go with the cut and re weld the headers idea, I think.

    How about posting a couple photos, so we better understand?

    I know your right.
    I'm gona chop the headers.
    That wont cost anything.
    I'll be glad when its running.
    I'm tired of working on it and spending money on it.
    All I have left to try it is build the cage and rudders.
    Then the controls. I have a night watch job and other day jobs.
    Its gona be fun once its finished.
    Maybe ten days.
    I bought a helmet cam on Ebay. So when I take it out for a spin everyone can watch.

    I just called midwest. The technician said he would best some custom headers for the same price $20.
    Heck the S&H was $15
