Welcome to the forum. This isn't the busiest forum on the internet, but it rates high in folks who care about helping other people figure out how to do things.

I've looked into the Subaru engines myself, and was impressed. They do seem to put a lot of HP into a small package.

But I'd already headed down the rosy path of using a 4A084, with an Aero Prop reduction drive by then.

I think that Chuck has some experience with putting a Subaru on a Mini. Hopefully, he'll chime in on that before long.
