    New Hill Race Hull

This is going to be our new hill racer. The hull is 8 ft 3 in long and 4 ft 8 in wide. the transom is 3.5 inches high. we are thinking about putting Scorpy's motor on it are a turbo 40 Kohler. If it don't work, we can deck it over, foam it and try to sell it as a 2 man surf board.

Check out the fiberglass weed rake laying on the deck of the MiniPro 116 hull.

Yea Bogger, It is made to run on ground only. If we decided to run it on water, it would be decked over and a rake on the front.

Two man surf board? You may be on to something there, a foam filled fiberglass hull with reinforcement and mounting points laid in for mounting rigging! A solid core hull yes. We'll call it an Airboard!

    Chuck,

I bet that project will make the naysayers that say a Mini can't run the hill shut up.

So now, they'll be saying that a Mini won't float.

    Sometimes, you just can't win...

Honestly though, did you and Marty start out to build that hull? Or was it just a screwed up hull that you decided to play with?

    Inquiring minds want to know...

    Thanks,

    Duane

Oooh.... I just went back to re-read my reply, and saw the fiberglass weed rake for the first time. Interesting...

No, i called Marty and told him to make the bottom of a 105 hull and only make it 3.5 inches high so we could make a ground racer. I told him to put the 2 stringers in at 24 inches so the engine stand from Scorpy would fit. I think Scorpy will get a bigger motor.
    Thanks, Chuck
