Hi my name is Peter I live in Centurion South Africa. About three years ago I build a 13 ft x5 ft 9in riveted aluminium airboat, Rotax 503 motor and 59 in x 34 in wood propeller.Over the time I made a lot of improvements by early 2010 it was good for 39 mph. on deep water. Now I am going to start on the next one, 13 ft x 7 ft and 18 to 35 hp motor, with scimitar type propeller for lower sound ? I hope.

    Peter,

Welcome to the forum. That's a pretty nice Mini you have there.

Scimitar type props are supposed to be "the" thing if you're interested in quiet.

There's several of them available for the bigger boats, but not too many for the smaller boats.

It'll be interesting to see what you come up with.

Look around, ask questions, add your experiences. Etc., etc., etc.
