Re: PROP NEEDED FOR A 65HP HIRTH TWO STROKE

    georgiboy,

I have a 66" GSC Tech II ground adjustable wooden prop, in like new condition. I bought it with 5 hours of run time on it. I test fit it on my boat, and since then it has been hanging in the shop. This is a left hand rotation prop, with a 75 mm Rotax pattern hub. It uses AN-4 (1/4-28) bolts. At the time I didn't have the correct adapter to bolt it up properly to my Arrow Prop reduction drive, so in these photos is is jury rigged in place.

Here is a link to GSC's web site:

    http://www.ultralightprops.com/tech_ser ... adjust.htm

I know "nothing" about Hirth engines. I don't know if this would work for you, or even if you might be interested. I'd let it go at a VERY reasonable price. I have since decided to use a Whirl Wind 67" Mini Prop, so this prop is just hanging on the wall...

Let me know if you are interested.

    Duane

Hey georgiboy, I found a 3 blade prop with the pitch blocks that might work on your engine. It looks to be 59 inches. I don't know what brand it is but i think it's just like the one that Papee uses so i think it may work. I think we can sell it for $ 160.00
    Thanks, Chuck

    Dennis,

I very much enjoyed talking with you on the phone. Like we discussed on the phone, the IVO prop you have now may be a better choice that my GSC prop would. It's hanging on the wall of the shop, and I do kinda' want to see what it'll do, after I get the boat up and running.

But you DID have some interesting ideas. I won't disclose YOUR ideas here, but I DO encourage you to join in on the forum, and post some pictures of your build. I bet that you and Buster would hit it off well. You both seem to know how to make chicken salad.

Let us know if we can help.

    Thanks,

    Duane
