Hi all...
Been wrenching on the 84 a bit and the cylinder pressure is all over the board but I knew it would be. Looking like 120, 112, 98, and 80. I knew the one was going to only go 80.
Good news is inside the crank is very clean.
For the price I am probably going to put in new pistons and cylinders and polish the valves up. I can pic up a new cylinder for about the same price the local shops want for just honing them. Not a lot of difference in price between a ring set and a piston set either.
So anyone find a good valve spring compressor tool for these or are we on our own to build one.
Any tips for removing the cylinders... there are a couple of stubborn ones... of course.
Thanks
