    New here

Hello. After talking with a individual with Air boat pros, this site was recommended to me. I am into model air boats and enjoy it a great deal.
I look forward reading the different threads here.

    Thanks.

    rcairboater,

    Welcome !

You won't find much about RC airboats here, but you will find a lot of info on airboats in general, with almost no personal BS. Well, not much anyway.

Let us all know if there is anything we can help you with.

I'm located in eastern North Carolina. Where are you?

    Thanks,

    Duane

    Welcome from me too.

I promise not to call you a snowbird. We have a lot of birds here in Minnesota, but I don't remember any snowbirds That's what they call those beater cars that sit in the same place most of the winter!

    Welcome Rcairboater...

If your new to airboats your at the right spot. My next door neighbor is into the rc planes and has a garage full of them. They are a blast.

He has lots of parts so maybe you could take some of us to school on the rc side?

    Papee,

When you get that "Glossary" up and running, I'm gonna have to look up the definition of that one. - WSWVD-. I won't even hazard a wild guess for that

    Waggs,

    Welcome to the MiniAirboatAssociation forum.

I think that you'll find us to be mostly hospitable folks. There's not much back-biting to see here. We all try to help each other.

Sure, we'll sometimes poke a stick in one another's side, but it's all done in good spirits.

So, read around on the posts, and feel free to post your questions. If one of us doesn't know the answer, then someone will make one up. Ooops, I meant tell you so.

    Thanks for joining us,

    Duane

P.S. Wer'e not much on formallity. You'll see that threads can change directions pretty quickly. Please bear with us though.

    RCairboater & Waggs,

Welcome aboard, I haven't been around much lately because i'm trying to get my boat ready to launch and have been spending every spare minute working on it. If you are serious about airboating, you have found a good place to learn. This is a great bunch here and will difinately help you.

    Re: New here

I have a full size boat, and since I was a kid I was thinking of ways to build a mini before I knew there was a name for them. I hope I can get a few ideas from here on the things I havent thought of yet.
