The fishing should be OK i just don't get time to go. During the heat you have to dig a hole in the floating weeds and pretend you are ice fishing. You can catch crappy year round once you learn how to get the bait to them.

The Toughster 127 is gone and headed to Alaska. I miss it already and it's only been 2 days.

    Hey Chuck,

It even looks good on the back of a truck. Shipping must add some major bucks to the price of that unit. Best of luck with your production run.

    Hey Chuck,
I haven't been on in a while. But I just caught wind of the toughster. As always you done a most excelent job on that one . The vidieos show it works well.
I really lke the hull. Whats the thickness is the aluminum?
I'm comming along good on my mini. I test ran it a few times and I think I got the kinks ironed out. As soon as I finish a few minor things I will be breaking it down for finnal paint and assembly. I hope by next month It will be complete. I would like to come up and check out the riding area with you guys one afternoon.

    Chuck,

Any news on this boat from Alaska? I just want to know the engine is still going strong? If something happens to that one I will know what to look for on mine should anything happen to it. I think you said you had several hrs on the engine before you built the boat...

    Thanks

I think we had 5 hrs on it when we shipped it. I haven't heard from Dick. He should have it any day now. I will call him this weekend.

    Chuck,

How did that modded motor handle the fuel... I am wondering if a 6.5 gallon tank is going to be enough for a 30 mile trip or do I need to plan to carry a 12 gallon... Could go 9 but the 6.5 gallon and 12 gallon red protable tanks have nearly the same dimensions so I can build a tray that can hold them both.

    Re: Toughster 127

Hey brlcla, I'am sure it used a little more fuel than the stock motor because the boat is heavier than the other mini's. If you are planing long trips, you might consider the bigger tank or carry 2 small ones.
    Thanks, Chuck

    Re: Toughster 127

I got a call from Dick in Alaska today. The Toughster 127 arrived in Alaska last Wednesday. He has put a few hours on it and is proud of how it performs. He said everyone that seen it likes it and can't wait until he can give them a ride. I hope some of them get hooked and place an order.

    Chuck,

I hope they get hooked too. You could probably fit 3 of them on one of those trailers....
