    A question

    Hey Guys,

I thought that I had posted this before but can't find it, so here it goes. Does anyone know of a formula to figure approximate horse power output. I am running a 60 X 26 prop at 2900 rpm's. Any ideas on how to figure this out?

    Thanks

    Re: A question

Hey av8or, Are you turning the prop 2900 or the engine 2900 with a drive? The 35 HP Briggs turning 3850 RPM with a 1.69 drive turns a 6026 prop at 2278 prop RPM's. That's the best preforming set-up we found with the 35 Briggs. I will check tomorrow but running direct drive and turning the 6026
at 2900 may be 60 to 65 HP. I think that prop was run on the A65 cont.
    Thanks, Chuck
