That Harley engine set up looks good. Did you ever get the shake out of the engine ?
I guess one could quiet it down. Any videos ?

How about one of these guys like the 127 (140 HP & 145 flbs) engine on a RD2 Hull.
I talked to the company today, they are much smoother than the Harley.
They claim the 120 engine will last longer, same everything just 10 HP less.

Hey Ashorn, Somehow I missed your post. That engine looks good and may be
an option. We have taken the Evolution engine off and ordered a Twin Cam
ballanced engine. I watched one run and it was smooth. It should be in by this
weekend. The Harley name on the engine will probably sell better but the
Bruto engine might outperform the Harley. I might try to contact them.
    Thanks, Chuck

I am hoping for a good lightweight combo some day.
Just a big old hole between car engines and the "lawn mower" types.

Going to a bike show in a few weeks and am going to ask around
    about the Ultima Engines.

Found another review, confirms they are smoother that the Harley
    Engines.

What was the Harley engine doing, cracking the mounts or shaking the
    whole boat ?

I am going to research this more.

Hey ASHORN, It was shaking the complete boat, At idle, you would think the rudders were going to fall off. The Twin Cam engine hasn't came in so I will have to put this project on hold until I get the engine.
    Thanks, Chuck

I am waiting here to see the S&S X Wedge on a bike. I saw an 88B Harley engine running
on a stand and it was not bad. Nothing like the EVO, that thing would have jumped off and ran around the shop. Lots of HP from 2 cylinders. The X Wedge is from what I hear smooth
like the 88B. Just a little more RPMs and HP. Like to hear more on the 88 or are you using an 88B ?

We are back on the EVOPRO 116 project. We have the new engine stand made and the Twin Cam 88B mounted. We are hooking everything up this week and hope to have it running this weekend. I will get some pictures and try to upload them. Thanks, Chuck

Well, we didn't get it fired up last night. Too many interuptions. We still have the exhaust and lights to put on. Maybe we can get it fired up today.
    Thanks, Chuck

Twin Cam and 80HP. Hope the twin cams reduce the vibration enough to make this hog fly. I am waiting anxiously for this one. How much did the motor alone cost? Is it a comparible price to the Vanguard motors. HP to $$$

With the extras we put on the engine, we have about $ 5300.00 in it. We are working on a noise we are getting from the belt drive unit. Hope to have it worked out this weekend.
    Thanks Chuck

The new belt drive is finished and ready for the final adjustments before the water test. Breiner Machine has built just what we wanted. There was many discussions about what we wanted before these parts were cut. Many hrs went into the development. Here it is:

    Chuck,

That sure looks a lot stronger than what I saw back in April. I bet Darren is happier now.

    Papee,

After they are over 45 years old, first born children loose all of thier trade value.
