Nope, prop was on properly. But you did make me look. :&&:

Hey Tank, where do you plan on taking the airboat. river, lake? Post picts soon.
BTW—447 is around 39.5HP at 6500 rpm.
Well, talking to an aviation friend, I need to adjust the prop so the engine only spins at 64-6500 r's. Pitch is too flat, that is why it's running at 7150. That's suppose to make a big difference....
A two year project to get this puppy wet. The 447 rebuilt with IVO trimmed to around 59 inches. Revs to nearly 7000 rpm with a 2.58 reduction box. It just doesn't get up and go. I can walk faster....
Pappee, what's the quick way to post picts to this thread? I tried to just drag a 200kb jpg into thread box but doesn't work.
Figured it out. That picture above makes it look like it's going...
Finally got the mini 105 in to the water. The 447 starts on first pull, sounds good, revs good...but doesn't push me past a fast walk. No getting on plane. Have a 3 blade ivo I bought through Chuck....
LOL Gotta remember that line. "Early Birthday Pass"
Good point. Thanks for the info and tips. I think you put an electric start on your boat. I still have to grab 40hp of resistance standing on the seat to yank up. Haven't tried it while in the water...
Did you paint that yourself? Pretty talented!
I had great plans to rebuild my rigging, made really fancy drawings, then I came to my senses. You said it best, I just want to go fishing and spend...
Oh, and thanks for all the words of encouragement.
Just thought I'd circle back to you guys since I'm up and running, at least on the trailer. I resorted to the expert and had the engine gone through completely. The rebuilder told me he didn't need...
FINALLY. Getting the IDNR to come out on Thursday this week to do an inspection. Illinois has way too many regulations. I may have mentioned on another string that my Rotax stopped running well last...
If you're married your wife would say, "Read the little booklet that came with it :) honey."
It probably just needs for you to change the setting to auto-exposure. If it's bigger/better I'm pretty...
Thanks Papee. I'll do that in the morning.
How about a question for Chuck at Airboat Pros?
I bought that mini 10.5 and need to know the hull manufacturers name for my registration. I FINALLY have the Illinois DNR coming out to inspect and...
Brilliant! Sounds great Chuck.
Hey Bil,
Really impressive build. I've been reading up on welding aluminum since I'd like to tackle some hulls appropriate for deep water and rocks up here in Illinois rivers. Looks like that's a...
Oh, and being from Illinois I really thought you were posting something about the band, Black-eyed Peas!
Hey Buster,
Duane's right about the $25 units even if they only last a couple years. We're running a Cuisanart 10 cup drip. Just a coffee maker without grinder (or any other fancy stuff like clock...
Now that you have all us northerners salivating share that Scarborough chicken recipe! Happy New Year to all from sunny Illinois.
That 532 should push you pretty well. Pretty fancy motor mounts. Can't wait to see the whole boat.
You were a step ahead of me finding LEAF. Glad you found these guys. They have been great to work...
I'd call Jim Leon at the Kankakee Airport in Illinois. His number is 815-529-3000. He is a top notch Rotax rebuilder and reasonable in cost. He may know of an exhaust for your engine. If I was buying...
Thanks Steve,
Never too basic :) This is like me not checking to see if something is plugged in properly before I dismantle it all over the floor.
I did forgot to mention that I had installed a...
Thanks Dave and Duane. Here's a source. I love google.
