Hi Corky,
Good to hear the first run went well.
Did the boat stop hopping with your wife's weight forward on the hull? How much fuel was in the tank (weight)?
I have not had mine in the water...
Sounds interesting... but you need to get the revs down from 6500... Start looking for a belt drive system at 2:1 or better.

It sure seems that way...
I never got the airboat in the river this year...
Water weighs about 62 pounds per cubic foot or about 7.5 gallons per cubic foot..... one gallon is 231 cubic inches...
Weigh your boat and do the math for the amount of flotation required to keep...
Papee,

Corky, Wow ! Your doing one heck of a job on the Durango. Are you getting those parts from the yard up by Sunbury or by Pinegrove? When you are all finished, no launching the boat on a dirt &...

Hi Corky,
WOW !!! I like the Camaro. My retired buddy in Virginia purchased a white base model two years ago. It is rather snappy with that 300 pony V6. But I think yours is a bit more...
Corky,
Whenever you choose to launch, just give a shout 24 hours ahead of time (so I can make sure the camera's batteries are charged) and I will be there.

I read through the o84 engine manuals (pdf) that are listed....
no where, that I read, does it state the gasoline spec or a minimum octane level...

Hi Corky,
Give it a few more heat cycles... (full cold starts to normal operating temperature) that will give you a good initial idea on any seepage and re-torque. Also, any heard "metallic...

Corky,
I don't have many photos either... back in the day, wood was easy to work and easy to obtain. Plywood was first rate... now, I'm almost sure, you would have to special order marine...
Corky, If you want to chat about old style plywood hulls, let's get together. I can share what Dad, my brother and myself did back in the day.....

Looking nice Corky. Noted that you found heavy marine carpet for the decking... had you thought of a piece of poly sheeting? that would get you on and off.... kent
Corky,
That is looking like a good start. Looks to have a nice shallow taper to get in and out with the trailer. Nothing worse than a steep ramp and fighting the winch to crank the boat up and on...
Papee, That's cool !!! keep practicing your flying skills... You will be chasing airboats on the river in no time at all.... kent
Hi Corky,
First, got your phone message, I will give you a shout one of these first evenings....

That hull looks like one of Tom's ultra light builds from 18 to 20 years ago. Most likely had a v twin 25 kohler, small belt drive and the ultra small three blade ivo prop. Check for his hull id...
