I never knew they gave permits for them. But I have heard they taste great also heard the same for manatees lol. Good luck, if you lived here you wouldn't have to try hard they come right to you, and...
I've been trying different jets with the stock carb but if I hit the gas hard from idle it will stall. Plus I'm making max rpm at 3/4 throttle nothing changes from 3/4 to full throttle. Thinking...
I have been using the stock carb that I enlarged with a deburring bit. I still haven't found the right sized jets yet but I'm close and with the right jets this carb has a good response.
I'm only planning on rounding out that sharp 90 inside the ports not really enlarging them any. I guess my a/f ratio gauge at a very good price was to good to be true eBay told me I bought it from a...
Update: The torque and roughness of a few dry runs and the motor stand cracked from not supporting it directly under the torque side of the engine so it's been sitting for some time. I was able to...
If you or anyone else here wants some spare parts I have a pile of heads, Intake, and a mag that needs rebuilt and maybe more I just want to get rid of. Thinking it might not hurt for you to have a...
Looks good and light weight. I likeThe way you did the front deck so the water will go out the side instead of in the boat.
I'm glad that your having fun trying new things while we all learn. I was just talking about using only the smaller turbo by its self but using the same plumbing they use in the sequential setup and...
The first video is more like what I'm talking about. That was one of the videos I watched when reading about all this. And the cage like that is kinda nice but it looks better on 6cyl aircraft boats.
I agree the 1" outlet seems to small that's why i was thinking about the secondary exhaust outlet feeding just enough air to the smaller turbo allowing it to add boost from around 1000rpm-4000rpm...
Don't hold me to anything here I'm just reading and thinking. I think you guys are on the right track with the smaller turbo. It will spool up at lower rpms the only thing i was worried about is to...
While looking at some pictures i believe that motor is a 3.8 Buick which is probally a good little motor for that boat. I hope you get it for a good deal.
I have a chance to get a Nissan A15 fuel injected from a concrete pump. The ecu has gone bad so i was thinking swapping to a carb. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with these engines. Are...
I was just going off the distributor being in the front of the engine and not the back and figured they used Chevy parts to make life easier i don't know much about car motors to many cylinders for...
I'm not sure of the brand hull just by the pic it could be one of the mini pros or something a little bigger like a small hamant or ridge runner hull. But if you want a hull i wouldn't worry about...
I would focus more on weight and your prop. If you are turning your motor 3600 with a 64" ivo the motor is probally not the problem. Sounds like it might just be to much weight for the ivo to push....
Nice job I believe that's one decision you will never regret.
You will need to try 2 or 3 spark/ rev in order to bring those numbers down to the right rpm when i put one on my 2 stroke mercury outboard it did the same said it was revving 10000rpm with the...
Does your tach have the s1,s2 buttons it has 3 settings. I think to change the number of spark per revolution hold s1 until it flashes and press it again until it flashes 03 the default is 02
No i don't think the upper lip is worth doing it's mainly for heavier motors that sit low in the water you can always add it later if you really need it and for the bottom my boat has a hinge bolted...
Here is what i have. I had an 0-84 direct drive on it and it was best in shallow water it didn't get on top in deep water with the short 52" prop i have now
I've never seen a lip on the bottom of a fiberglass hull unless the polymer is hanging past. I only see them on the top of the transom to stop the wave from coming in the boat when you slow down....
Nice it will make a good hull when you get it patched up. I like that you are fixing up the old hull you will appreciate the boat that much more and save money doing it. Just remember keep it light...
I was looking at the graph and if I go to 14deg it will bring my rpm down around 2800rpm and give me about 200lbs of thrust. Right now I have 52" three blade with 12deg turning 3000rpm. Then I will...
