I have just come up with it, putting a limit on the prop size would set definite limits on an mini . Say 60 inches max?
The two classes could be limited by prop size:
30-50 limited class
50-60 unlimited class.

Also, I have no objection to to larger props or powerplants they could be "super unlimited" or experimental'?
I can see it now a 60 x 96
I ran a 60 inch 6 blade Warp Drive on a 260 HP cont. and the magnum IVO will ajust to 70 inches pitch.

Way to dig up an old one David, hey these figures put "the tank" in the unlimited class. Could you spot me two lengths for the extra 750lbs?
Papee,
Aw, you just came up with that because of my 66" prop didn't you? :o
So what class would a 4A084 (with whatever prop) fall into ?
It really doesn't matter much to me. According to the state of NC, I don't even own an airboat. I have an "other" boat. :)
I am now an outcast because my engine doesn't fit, my prop doesn't fit, and the state doesn't recognize it as an airboat. Shame on me....
But as long as you guys still consider me part of the Mini family, I'm happy. :D
Just for discussion purposes, since sound levels are something that we all need to be paying attention to, would it not make sense for us to go with higher reductions, and use larger but slower props?
I "think" that'd help reduce the sound level, but still give good performance.
Thanks,
Duane
LOL Duane, Check the dates of the original posts in this thread.
Will start by staging at the rear of the boat and that will give the Tank a half boat length advantage  then ask the other driver to start on watching your throttle foot. That should add up to about 2 boat lengths.

 Chuck. All I know is I'm coming home with a trophy even if I have to buy one.
Edit: And I'm not talking about these splintered props on my wall.
Hey Papee, you should have some Trophy's already. That old TANK has already set some records.
1. Most time on the water.
2. Longest run up the river.
3. When in doubt, spin it out.
4. Air powered bulldozer.
Chuck
I probably missed a few. :)
