Re: Generac
don't have a clue.... but its more than what my old motor had in it... of course i am pullin from an extra cubic inch.... the motor is actually a lower compression motor than the Briggs was... which equates to a little more longevity... need to get it on the boat and see how it pushes... then i can tell....
seat of da pants dyno...

Re: Generac
brlcla,
O.K., I'm confused. ;stir;
You said:
fyi.... this is the second strongest motor built at that shop.... i am excited and can't wait to get it all in the water.
Stupid me thought that you had numbers to back up that statement. ;garfield;
But if YOU are happy, then I am happy. All is good.

Re: Generac
Actually Subaru/Robin now has 2 versions of the big block engines on their web page (the engine formally sold as Generac). I just bought 2 of the 36hp models, they arrived with Subaru stickers. I've used a lot of these engines over the years on Para-flying projects, heavy lumps at 120lb+-, but very good motors. The new engines seem to come with better carb matches than the older Generac versions. I know that Briggs was mentioned in this thread as new Generac owner, I'm only aware of the Subaru connection.
