Your guess is good as mine, but my guess is that it will. I don't think it would hurt to try it and see.

The Buggy is looking VERY nice. BTW, my offer to buy it still stands, at the original offered price. ;garfield;
I don't remember the details of how you had the rectifier, and starter/generator wired up.
Myself, I was planning to use the starter/generator only as a starter, and use the original OE alternator, with a rectifier/regulator for charging.
MY rectifier/regulator would NOT work with the stock VW generator, for sure.
(I assume that the buggy has an OE VW generator)
If so, your best bet would be to use an OE VW voltage regulator. They work by controlling the field current in the generator.
A rectifier/regulator is a completely different animal, and they work totally differently.
My bet is, NO, it will not work. :sad:
