hi all new to airboating, been interesred for awhile. Just scored a good deal (i think) got a almost new honda 18 hp engine with a arrowprop 56"x24" prop with arrowprop redrive three xtra props a 42x18,45x18 and a 5 blade 36x18 with a direct drive hub, also two very well home made rudders.
are these props good and what size boat should i be looking to buy/build

Welcome to the site. what is the ratio of the reduction drive? The 42x18 direct drive should be a match as far as direct drive. The others are a bit big. The 56x24 would be the best setup providing the reduction is enough. A very light aluminum hull at 5'x 10' would be the best choice. This would be a one person boat, it wouldn't have enough thrust to haul more than one person. Would be a fun little scooter if set up right though.

was told it was a arrowprop redrive per there web site should be a 1.69:1. wonder if the 5 blade could be used on a hovercraft?
