Guys, need to know if the skegs or ribs on the bottom of my jon boat will have a dramatic effect if I use this for the hull on the build I want to do ? Also, since I don't have enough power with the 12.5 hp briggs, Ive decided to find a 30 hp or better twin cylinder Kohler or similar hp engine, will this size get 2 people and a cooler on plane ? The hull is a Lowe 11-36, its really wide at the top of the gunnels

I think you'd be disappointed. But I have seen a 1436 ribbed flat bottom with a 583 rotax that moved pretty well with a one man load. Wouldn't travel debris/dry very well though

Thanks Chaseh, Im trying to avoid a costly build if I can get away with it, I was thinking if I got some polymer strips to place in between the ribs it would help

Build a true flat bottom. You'll be far more satisfied and significantly decrease the risk of this:http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/05/23/epa7aby4.jpg
