It can always be worse. I haven't been able to "play" lately my pain has been pretty much intolerable. I haven't been out to the garage in weeks. I went to the Specialist today and he is referring me to pain management. I'm on Vicodon now but doesn't help much. I go next week to see what they can do, I'm hoping a TENS unit will work so I can get off all the meds or mostly any way. I was on Percs but I want to try something to get off the dope. I'm hoping both the Doctor and Insurance will go for the TENS unit.

Papee,

I sincerely hope the TENS method will work out for you. I know I was on vicoden for a short while a few years ago,
and I was really glad when my pain let up and I could get off of it.

Pain is a real b*%#@~, and I'm sure you can't get it under control fast enough. Best of luck, and keep hangin' in

Papee,

There is light at the end of the tunnel. It's just a question of getting to that light. You have gone through a lot, and it will take time for things to return to normal, or at least tolerable. We're thinking of you.....

Papee,

Pam has been seeing a Chiropractor for her hip and neck problems, and part of his treatment involves using a TENS unit. She swears by it.

I hope that it works out for you as well. ;thumb;

If you guys see spam, these are real people that will post something pertaining to the post but will add a spam link at the end of their post, Please use the report post button on the right under the users info in the thread. It's the triangle sign with the exclamation point to the right of the 4 icons. I just removed one from here Thanks.

It's been almost two weeks now that I've been enjoying my new Tens Unit. I must say I am very happy with the results. I got a fancy smancy unit that has several different impulse patterns and seem to be working fine. The big surprise is that the pain does not come back immediately when I take it off. When I have the real bad days a combination of the Tens Unit and the pain meds keep my pain level down to a very tolerable level. I was also surprised to see that I don't really feel the Tens Unit "shock" when I'm moving about.

It's supposed to be 63* today and 68* here tomorrow, I'm going to get the boat out today and change the oil, put the prop on and get it running. A few hours on the river is needed. I'm going to stop by Saturn and see Mark about getting an intake tube so I can start working on this new carb testing.
