The old nut case came with this on board. Havn't had much luck fishing for informaiton on it.

The breather says Holley on it but all that means to me for sure is that the breather says Holley on it. :)

The front has 12A or A12 cast in it and the side with the gas line (opposite the linkages) has 12F_ 7096 cast into it.

Any help is greatly appreciated... here it is:

Wildfowl,

As near as we can tell, this carb is a Holley#5210 or 5210C. It shows to be used on these cars:
AMC 4 cyl. 1977 - 78
Chev Monza & Vega 1973 - 78
Olds Starfire & others 1975 - 78

It is possible it may have been new equipment on any number of other vehicles, but these are the ones that we found.

The pictures we found were not great, mostly outlined diagrams, but they seemed like what we were looking for. Hope that helps.

Wow, Thank you Dave.

I'll pull up the diagrams off of these numbers and compare. Any idea on the difference with the "C" in the number?

Based on the applications above there might be a place for it on the O84??? :geek:

I'm going to Grand Forks AFB and stopping in Fargo on the way back....sure you don't need a little VW? :)

Mike,

Sorry I have no idea about the C. Also, I think I'll pass on the VW.

I did a lot with Dune Buggys in the 70's, but I never came across any engine that looked like that.

We are thinking about going the Rotax route for that Tomcat, because of lighter weight to HP ratio. That Tomcat is plenty heavy for it's size!
