I may have finally beat the BOTS. Maybe now I can put registrations back to normal. A BOT is an automated script that allows spam bots to register to the forum. It's a PITA having to click on hundreds of emails a day either confirming or deleting a new registration.

Competition is fierce on the internet too, one of my competitors was not happy when I got on up on him so he wrote a script to spam all my sites. It makes me wonder how these people function in real life.

Just curious.... How do you know one from the other? How do you know a bot registration from a real one?

BOTs usually use random letters and numbers, sometimes they will use a name and I have to check the email address to be sure. It's not foolproof though. I have missed a couple that were real.

I also got the forum viewable to guests now, seems there was a hack that took over the feature.
