I agree, I just wish I could use one of them. I'm stuck with aluminum because of the rocks.

Hey Dave, I hope next week, we will be posting pictures of the new aluminum hulls that we will be selling.
John O'Neal is having them made. I might be able to post pictures of his demo boat today. Chuck

What will the bottom be on the aluminum? We use 6061-T6 .090 ga. here because of all the rocks.

Chuck, I saw the pics of the new hull, what is the length of the boat that is in the water at the water line? I'm guessing that it's around 8 ft? I'm just trying to figure out the surface area. Mine is at 70 sq. feet right now. If yours is around 8ft that would still be much less than I have right now.

Hey Dave, The MiniPro 116 fiberglass hulls are 11 ft long and 6 ft 6 inches wide. Our new Aluminum hull came in today.
It is 11 ft 8 inches long and 7 ft wide. It weights in at 223 lbs. I will try to upload some pictures. If I can't, I will get
David to do it tomorrow. Thanks, Chuck.
Can,t do it. All my file size are over 600 kb

Chuck I am asking about the actual amount of the surface area of the hull is in contact with the water. My current hull is 16x5 but only 14 or slightly less is in the water. Which would be 70 sq ft of surface area for drag when trying to get on plane. Your new one I figure would be around 50 sq. ft. if 8 feet of the boat is actually in the water. Just trying to do so figuring. Could you also give the bottom aluminum thickness? Could you pm me the price of just a hull?

I stop by chuck's shop the other day and looked at the new aluminum hull. It is very nice and well build. It looks just like a big boat but smaller and lighter.
The boat should get on plane easy with low hp.

Hi David or chuck im not sure if both of you are airboatpro people or what but witch ever i'd also like to see if you could pm me a price on that alluminum hull with a poly on it just to let me now how much i gotta start saving i think after i get done with this o'l wooden boat im playing with to fish i think i would also like a play boat to just ride around the river and accross sand bars and such on.. i'm thinking a mini hull with one of those old vw engines just so it'll have plenty of power to run dry unless i discover a better engine choice between now and then...

Randy, I'm not sure about adding the poly to that hull as a mini. The poly pretty well displaces it's own weight as far as flotation but that is still adding a lot of weight. The added weight is more for the engine to push when getting on plane. I have an aluminum hull that is about 15 years old and is still in good shape and I run very shallow water a lot of times dragging on river rock. I've also hit pretty hard a few time with little damage. This hull uses the same thickness aluminum for the bottom I have. This is only my thoughts, Chuck will have to answer that one to be sure.

Hey Randy if you wanted poly on it we will put it on for ya just like Papee said its adding alot more weight it will be ok if you are going to use a bigger motor like a A65 or something a little bigger

The aluminum hull is 2195.00 I believe plus polymer
