For those who want to build a plywood hull. In the pictures I put in the gallery you will see the shape of my bowI drew a circle and cut it to shape the bow, which looked like it would work but, sucked. I saw the airboatfun sight and thought, why would I buy plans when I think I am smart enough to figure it out. so through trial and error, I am beginning to learn to draw and think about then draw again before cutting. By now have seen some real good plywood boats n.w. floridaboy has a great one. the goal is to go as shallow as you can and try to make the boat look like it can plane by kicking it and then bring your hull up.....That is just my research... Besides if a bunch of country boys can dream up the first airboat why would someone buy plans. ....doing it wrong will only make you a subject matter expert, that and if you can afford to do it again
